Abstract

The speedometer is a device for speed measuring. It shows the speed while vehicle is moving. The odometer is a device for measuring a traveled distance. Speedometers and odometers may be electronic or fully mechanical. However, these measuring devices have a readout error. The accuracy of the speedometers and odometers is influenced by the structural elements of the measuring devices which are closely interconnected. If one of the elements gets out of the tune, it damages speedometers and odometers operation and that is the reason why the measuring device starts to operate with an error.
