Specific Lilies Use in Green Plantation

During the period since 2000 till 2009 9 lilies species were analysed in Kaunas Botanical Garden of Vytautas Magnus University. Just Lilium martagon L. naturally grows in Lithuania. Growth conditions, resistance of negative winter factors and diseases were analysed and reproduction methods and their intensivity were appreciate. Decorative characteristic, resistance winter frost, diseases and reproduction tests results show that 6 lilies species are suitable for green plantations. L. martagon can grow in shade, in the field with vernal little bulbous flowers and willd ornamental perennial plants.
