Abstract

The article analyses the causes and consequences of the degradation of the insulation resistance of electrical devices. The insulation resistance measuring techniques that are integrated into traditional meggers are analysed. The algorithm for the application of the insulation resistance measuring methods used for the rotating electrical machines is provided.
