The Agents of Viral Diseases Affecting Limonium Mill. Plants

Tomato ringspot virus (ToRSV) and Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) have been isolated from Limonium latifolium (Sm.) Kuntze plants expressing symptoms typical for viral diseases. Viruses have been identified by the methods of test-plants, electron microscopy and DAS-ELISA. Both viruses are distributed worldwide, have a wide host range including ornamental species. Means to control spreading of agents of viral diseases are described.
