The Assessment of Efficiency Service of Autovehicles Transporting Agricultural Products to Klaipeda Seaport Terminals

Abstract

The article analyzes factors which are limiting the intensity of servicing of vehicles transporting agricultural products in Klaipeda port terminals. In 2016-2017 about 93% of Lithuanian grains were transported through Klaipeda Seaport, from which about 30 - 35% are delivered to Klaipeda Seaport stevedoring companies by road transport. The article analyzes the process of servicing road transport in two terminals of Klaipeda Seaport, where most of the cargo is composed of bulk agricultural products which are transported by road transport. The study describes the technological indicators that affect the servicing of the road transport at the terminal, analysis of applied technology service, evaluating their performance duration and provides technological measures that increases the intensity.
